Lady like–behind the scenes

Awhile ago I posted about the beautiful return of lady like fashion at the catwalks of Dior. I recently found these gorgeous photos of the back stage vibe (love the dudes in suits running around) of the same show over at Dust Jacket Attic. If you want even more glam head over there for more shots. I am totally loving the close up make up shot – I wish I could use liquid eyeliner as well as that!

Martyn Bullard Lawrence–Part one

Last week I was lucky enough to go to Coco Republic’s High tea with Martyn Lawrence-Bullard. I dragged my best friend along for the ride and it turned into a hoot. Mr Lawrence-Bullard is an absolute scream. His work portfolio included the Osbornes, Elton John, Kid Rock, Tamara Mellon, just to name a few. Elton John’s place is shown directly below. He has put his name to fabrics, furniture, rugs and candles, plus of course 10 coffee table books. So here is a taste of his work while I work out how to get the photos of my phone (not very tech savvy here lovers!)

Surely we all agree she acted like a lady before the marriage, amidst rumours of break ups and new loves. Yay for lady like behaviour – proof that being a lady does get you somewhere in life.

Pull the extra glam ottoman and chandelier. Oh la la… take note Mr Husband (your hiking boots are not welcome here). What storage features would you have in your dream closet?

Bring on the sun

I have been sick with the flu for over a week. It is driving me crazy, finally I have taken a couple of days off, child free, to try and beat it before the weekend. It has been pouring with rain for the last week also, and towns in the north of the state are again facing evacuation with rising flood waters. I hope the sun comes out soon.

Post Script: the sun is out and shining in the 24 hours it took me to finish up the post! But I am thinking of Nouveau Traditionalis who is suddenly hosting a 5year old birthday party at her home due to the original location being rained out. xxx
