Plain and Simple: Good advice
I found this today on The Simply Luxurious Life Tumblr. The words are simple, the message is strong, and the possiblity of the outcome if more people took it on would be profound.
Here's to Saturdays and making the world a better place, one step at a time.

Inspiration
Lately I have read a lot of great posts from around blog land about resolutions, and clean fresh ways to start the new year. One that has really struck me though, is an absolutely beautiful blog, The Simply Luxurious Life. If you have not visited, I suggest you do. I have been totally inspired by her words of charisma (posted 9 Jan), and more recently 6 Essentials to Create a Life of True Accomplishment.
Not only are the pictures beautiful and inspiring, but these posts can relate to all of us, and as we begin another year in our lives, we can all take something from them, whether it be to act kinder, ask for help, or simply stand up straight so we appear more charismatic.
Go on - check it out!

Off off and away
Wow, the year has got off to a flying start and I am already off travelling for work. I wish I could say it is a glamorous experience but mostly it amounts to me doing reading in the airport and on the flight, eating bad food, wondering how to iron my shirt when I arrive, and trying to get a hire car started.
I'm only off for a couple of days, and I promise I will get back into the groove. Mr husband and I have been enjoying each others company and kicking back watching bad TV.
So until I return...

Here’s to you Mr Husband
Dear Mr Husband,
A year ago today I married you. The sun was shining and there was a salty sea breeze. We laughed at our daughters behaviour at the ceremony, we danced the night away, we ate and drank with our friends and family, and then as the night drew to a close we felt blessed that we had had such a relaxed day.
It took us over ten years to stand in front of God and proclaim our love for each other, but deep down we knew it was right all along. So here’s to you Mr Husband. The One. I love you.

Pastel Perfection
{Dolce and Gabbana}
New season shows from Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Nina Ricci all have me giddy for pastels. From the delicate blues and apricot to the pinks and pastel green I’m in love.
It got me thinking about pastel interiors and other pale inspiration. How would you rock a pastel?

Happy Birthday Kate… ah Duchess of Cambridge
Deep down I'm a little bit of a Royalist. Maybe not in the political sense but definitely in the soft spot-I love Kate's fashion-my daughter may marry her own prince-kind of way. I celebrated her wedding, got the souvenir version of the wedding mag – yep I am a tragic.
So in honour of the Duchess’s 30th birthday I will raise a glass of bubbles and check out her look over the past few years, both before and after she married Prince William. Someone who can carry themselves with poise and grace, some style and still have a killer smile and i imagine a cheeky side would get my vote.

Common theme? Hat, jacket and knee high boots. You have to admit the girl has style, not to mention that killer body. Seriously – there are few royals who could rock a white bikini like that!
So here’s to you Duchess of Cambridge. I hope you have a magical birthday full of great company and fun times!

Wedding bells…
I know I have been very naughty lately. I am terribly sorry. It seems that the holiday break has got away from me and tomorrow I am returning to work. It has been a busy last few days with my in-laws staying with us and last night Mr Husband and I attended a lovely wedding.
So it is a short post because the night is drawing on. But a toast to my friend who has found happiness with a lovely man.
Here’s to you Liz!
(post script… Mr Husband just pointed out that JFK and Jackie didn’t really have the most successful marriage.. I was trying to highlight the beauty and love felt on a day like a wedding…)
Love Mrs Wife
