I have to admit, it's been awhile since I was put onto Pinterest, and it's taken me this long to sort it out on my iPad. Its also been awhile since I've blogged. Part laziness part chaos life to blame. We have moved house, been on holiday, started more study and taken a holiday. Somewhere amongst that I find myself without a computer so now I find myself trying to blog via iPad. Eek.

This also means I've lost my library of images. It's like losing a friend. And that brings me back to pinterest. Something that is achievable on iPad! No I just have to work out how to get my pinterest pics onto the blogging app and export to blogger.

Do you remember awhile ago I posted the behind the scenes photos of the very lady like Dior Campaign? Anywho – I came across this fabulous behind the scene shots of a very patient woman putting the dress together. Power to her! I envy her patience and dedication. My poor sewing machine has sat lonely in its box for two years.

Pattern Mash up

We have been told that we are moving house in the next couple of weeks. I am mostly happy with the news because I have a massive commute normally and spend about 20 hours a week on the road. The new house is a little smaller, but on the plus side its in a great suburb near the beach. With the work rentals we live in we never really get the chance to ‘decorate’ because we are limited in what we can hang up on the walls, paint is out of the question and the carpet colour is normally.. well.. gross.

This picture has totally lifted my spirits though, how pretty would it be in a little girls room? I think my little poppet would love to hide herself away behind the curtains for all kinds of adventures.

Seasons Change

It has been raining. And raining and raining. The mornings are like midnight when I drive to work. I want to drink hot chocolate all day. I want to read books and stay in bed. Seasons change. I'm trying to reinvigorate my wardrobe this season. As I get older I notice less trends and more classics. I want quality instead of an outfit for one big night out. I have never really been one to accessorise, but now I want to buy that too. Here's some inspiration shots I plan to take with me when I next go shopping. Key themes - fur, leather, camel coloured jacket and/or knits, animal print. Woop!!

Neon highlights

I am the first to admit that the neon trend was not rocking my world. I felt like I had been caught up in an 80s revival complete with tie-dyed TShirts and happy pants. And yet slowly but surely I seem to be coming around. I can now appreciate it at least, but I think my contribution to the trend may stop at a clutch or pair of seasonal shoes. Unfortunately I don’t have an occasion on my calendar that would do the Jason Wu dress (above) any justice.

Lady like–behind the scenes

Awhile ago I posted about the beautiful return of lady like fashion at the catwalks of Dior. I recently found these gorgeous photos of the back stage vibe (love the dudes in suits running around) of the same show over at Dust Jacket Attic. If you want even more glam head over there for more shots. I am totally loving the close up make up shot – I wish I could use liquid eyeliner as well as that!

Martyn Bullard Lawrence–Part one

Last week I was lucky enough to go to Coco Republic’s High tea with Martyn Lawrence-Bullard. I dragged my best friend along for the ride and it turned into a hoot. Mr Lawrence-Bullard is an absolute scream. His work portfolio included the Osbornes, Elton John, Kid Rock, Tamara Mellon, just to name a few. Elton John’s place is shown directly below. He has put his name to fabrics, furniture, rugs and candles, plus of course 10 coffee table books. So here is a taste of his work while I work out how to get the photos of my phone (not very tech savvy here lovers!)
