Can anyone help me?

{image: Kikki K}

Ahh.. excuse me.. hello... can anyone help me???  It seems that I have misplaced something - you may know where it is?

Its about 355 days long, has four seasons and contains lots of fun filled events, a little splattering of work and another handful of memories.

Yep, I've lost 2011. I don't know where the time went, but here we are the day before Christmas Eve, and I am wondering what happened. The year started off with our wedding, a few work trips away, a family visit for Easter, my sister moving states and then moving back again. There was Mary Poppins the musical, U2 the concert, a graduation from my Masters at Uni, a Picasso exhibition, a Dolly Parton concert, some more work trips, a huband returning, a new Elastic Chair and R160, plus a couch, and here we are at the end.

Of course the next few days will be filled with food wine and presents. I'd like to say sleep ins too, but I wont hold out on that.

Thank you all for helping me begin my blogging journey. I hope it has given you some enjoyment when you have visited. It has given me enjoyment. In the new year I would like to keep it up and share even more inspiration and love through design and my life.

So Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings to you all. Please be safe over the break and enjoy time spent with family and freinds.

A Partridge in a Pear Tree

partridge from fbtminitries.org
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree.
Actually I didn't want to post about what Mr Husband gave me, or is potentially giving me, but about what i want to give to others. Sometimes the time leading up to Christmas flies past and we end up buying a random gift with little thought and spend the whole time watching them unwrapping it wishing we had tried harder.
So in an attempt to not be that uncomfortable individual, I have started to put serious thought into this years gifts (I am ahead as you know, but friends are sometimes trickier than family).
Rules & Ideas for buying a present for your best friend..
  1. Something to make them remember you in 50 years.
  2. Something that reminds them of the fun they had with you in the past.
  3. Something that shows you remember the “I love it so much… but its not a pay week.. maybe another time..”
  4. Something that reminds them of their own family.
  5. A journal for their thoughts (include a note of your belief in them in the cover).
  6. Some bling for the next girls night out.
  7. Be secret squirrel and get a baby photo of them, and one of their significant other, include it in a custom album.
  8. A case of her favourite wine.
  9. A charm for a charm bracelet (if she is inclined to wear one – if she isn’t and you get her one anyway you should question how well you know her).
  10. Talk to her parents and organise a framed wedding picture of them for her (particularly special if she has an upcoming wedding or a parent is deceased, not so much if they are divorced or she doesn’t have a close relationship with them).
  11. Maybe a voucher for the thing you know she is secretly to scared to do by herself (SCUBA, skydive, a pottery class, cake decorating..)
Happy shopping for your best friend!

64 Days...

Can you believe there is only 64 days left until Christmas? I have to admit I try hard to be organised. I have finished my shopping for the family presents, but still have my close friends presents, the random presents and Christmas cards to go. I really love Christmas, and love the etiquette rules that go with it.

This year, I am on the hunt for beautiful luxe cards to send to those special people in my life. I thought I would share some with you.

Just one question? Any offers for licking the stamps??
